Koperasi Pertanian (KOPTAN) Gayo Megah Berseri also known as GMB Coop is a coffee producer cooperative formed in early 2012.
It currently has 713 members (including 159 women - many of whom are widowed and raising their children alone).
People in this area were resettled here by the Indonesian Transmigration Program in 1982, with more than 2/3 of the inhabitants originally from Java Island.
