BLENDING BEFORE OR AFTER ROASTING
If you have an established blend it is easier to blend the coffee green before roasting. If you are going to pre blend we recommend you store the beans blended - as this can even out the moisture content between the different origins to help you get an even roast.
Reasons not to pre blend:
- You are still experimenting with blend ingredients and percentages.
- You are producing Melanges (e.g. roast each origin to different levels).
- You are roasting very different beans (the size gives you a pretty good idea).
